Firefox released a new privacy mode to testers

Photobucket

Small end Monday, but the major features of Firefox was released to testers from the minefield, Mozilla's browser application testbed for new innovations. A new feature that is private browsing, also known in some circles as a "mode of porn." When toggled, it is necessary to your Web history, user name, password, search, and the cookies and bins them the second you close out the window, so that effectively appear that there is no session.

Monday night, including building a minefield said privacy mode in all the glory, the browser gives users the freedom to hide their browsing habits from the other.

Similar to the implementation found in the browser made by Apple, Microsoft and Google, the new mode can begin at any time during a browsing session. However, users must enable their existing window (with any open tab), which will be closed while using the recently opened "private" one. Once they exit the near future, will only re-opened their original browsing session. Users can also choose to have started each session in the privacy mode, which can be a useful general settings on the computer.

The feature has been in Firefox's road map for some time now (Mozilla's bug tracker that can be posted back in mid-2004), but can not be resolved in time for Firefox 3's release back in mid-June. For while the user is able to achieve the same results using several extensions - the most notable of Stealther.

Expect to see a privacy mode with a way to make Firefox 3.1, which will feature the privacy and performance tweaks, along with improvements to the built-in tag system. If you want to be a tester, you can find more information here.
